PagerDuty Incident Alerting for ClusterControl

Need to add phone and SMS alerting to ClusterControl? ClusterControl 1.2.8 introduces support for PagerDuty, an alerting service for Ops teams to schedule on-calls and add phone and SMS notifications to IT tools. By integrating PagerDuty with ClusterControl, you can start receiving phone, SMS and email notifications for all important database events as monitored by ClusterControl. Alerts go directly to the right person who can solve the issue.

This integration is possible thanks to a new plugin interface, that takes ClusterControl alarms in JSON format and outputs to an external system via plugins. Plugins can be either scripts or executable binaries.

MySQL at the Malaysian OpenSource Conference

MySQL team attends and speaks at the MOSC 2014 on September 24-25, 2014 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We are having a MySQL booth and above that our local colleague Ricky Setyawan has secured one 45 minutes talk scheduled for Wed, Sep 24 @2:15-3:00pm on the MySQL Web Reference Architecture.

We will also run two hours workshop on MySQL Fabric scheduled for Thursday, Sep 25 @2:30-4:30pm. If you are around do not forget to come to our booth and/or visit our MySQL session & workshop!

Report on MySQL User Camp, Bangalore on 20th June, 2014

MySQL User Camp Bangalore organized on 20th June, 2014 started as per plan. It was a good gathering. We got many users from different companies like Flipkart, CTS, CGI, Yahoo, Onze Technologies, Webyog and few other startups. Apart from this we also got 2 Mysql customers this time from UID Aadhar project managed by HCL.

Event started on its scheduled time with a welcome speech by Srinivasarao Ravuri, (Senior Manager, Software Development at MySQL India) . He thanked all the attendees for coming followed by a brief agenda and handed over the mic to the speakers for presentation.

It was followed by a talk on ” MySQL 5.7 New Features and NoSQL support in MySQL” by Sudipto Sahoo (Senior Engineer at MySQL India). He gave a good summary on the new features …
