Benutzen Sie direkt in Ihrem SQL Statement die Funktion “version()”: 

select VERSION();

Ergebnis (Beispiel): 

5.1.5-alpha-standard

Hinweis:
Endet die angezeigte Version mit dem Text “-log”, ist das Loggen (Logging) auf dem Server aktiviert.
